College Recruiting Information and Resources

OVERVIEW

With a long and successful history, Richmond United players have competed at some of the nation’s top NCAA Division I, II and III programs. As the college recruiting landscape continues to evolve, the responsibility has increasingly shifted to players to take an active role in marketing themselves and building relationships with college coaches.

Richmond United’s College Advisory Program is designed to support U16-U19 players and their families throughout the college recruiting process by providing guidance, education and resources every step of the way.

Our goal is to provide every Richmond United player who has an interest in playing college soccer with realistic opportunities to compete at the next level.

The primary objectives of the College Advisory Program are to:

• Support and provide ongoing resources to U16-U19 coaches so they can effectively guide players throughout their recruiting journey.

• Host recruiting events, educational sessions and workshops for players and parents to provide the latest information on NCAA regulations, recruiting timelines and the college admissions process.

• Assist players with communication strategies and outreach to college coaches while helping facilitate connections throughout the recruiting process.

Players and families with questions about the college recruiting process are encouraged to reach out to their Program Director, who can provide guidance and connect them with the appropriate resources.
