Recreational Soccer

The Richmond United Recreational (Rec) Soccer Program offers a fun, inclusive, and developmentally-focused soccer experience for children ages 3–18 across the greater Richmond area. Our mission is to help young players build healthy life skills, confidence, and a love for the game through active participation in a safe and supportive environment. While learning soccer fundamentals is important, our emphasis goes beyond the scoreboard—fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and community connection.

Richmond United is proud to offer two distinct recreational programs:

• Richmond United Red (formerly Richmond Kickers Youth & Richmond Strikers South): Chesterfield County and Richmond City based

• Richmond United Orange (formerly Richmond Strikers): Henrico county based

Both programs share the same core philosophy and commitment to quality instruction and positive player development. Recreation teams are led by volunteer coaches and play in two seasons each year—fall and spring—ensuring year-round opportunities for growth and enjoyment.

With convenient locations throughout the Richmond region, Richmond United Rec Soccer delivers unbeatable value and accessibility. Whether your child is kicking a ball for the first time or continuing their soccer journey, we have a program that’s just right for your family!
