Richmond United is thrilled to announce two unforgettable fan trips that will take players, families, and supporters on once-in-a-lifetime soccer and cultural experiences abroad. These trips target ANYONE at Richmond United (recreational through to the most experienced travel player).
Trip 1: London – December 26-31, 2025
To close out the year, Richmond United travelers will head to London for five incredible days immersed in the passion of English football. Highlights include:
- Attending Premier League matches at iconic stadiums (games TBD and could include Championship or WSL matches)
- Stadium tours of legendary venues (venues TBD)
- A guided sightseeing tour of London led by a WorldStrides tour director
- Free time for families to explore the city’s culture, food, and holiday lights
This trip promises an up-close experience of the world’s most famous league during one of the most exciting times of the season.

Trip 2: Rio de Janeiro – March 27-April 2, 2026
In the spring, Richmond United will travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for an action-packed week of soccer and adventure. The itinerary features:
- Attending professional matches and futsal games (TBD)
- Stadium tours (venues TBD) and a visit to the Brazilian Football Confederation Museum
- Iconic excursions to Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain
- Exploring Tijuca National Park’s caves and waterfalls
- Relaxing on Rio’s world-famous beaches and experiencing Brazilian culture firsthand

A Global Soccer and Cultural Experience
“These trips are about more than soccer,” said Pat McStay. “They are about giving our families and players a chance to see the global game up close, while immersing themselves in the history, traditions, and culture of two of the world’s greatest soccer cities.”
