STAFF BIO:

Errin Stanton joined the Richmond Kickers in August 2023, bringing more than 20 years of coaching experience and a strong background in goalkeeper development. With experience across the youth, collegiate, and professional levels, Errin adds a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the Richmond United environment.

Prior to joining the club, Errin served as the Goalkeeper Director for Charlotte Soccer Academy North and held collegiate coaching roles as an assistant coach at both Davidson College and the University of Richmond. His extensive experience includes working with goalkeepers and teams at the high school, elite club, and semi-professional levels, helping players reach their full potential.

As a player, Errin was a four-year starter at Pfeiffer University before continuing his career professionally, competing in the USL (D3), A-League, and MLS levels. His firsthand experience at the highest levels of the game informs his coaching philosophy and approach to goalkeeper development.

Errin holds a USSF Goalkeeper Level 1 Certificate and USSF E License. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Pfeiffer University. Originally from Tinton Falls, New Jersey, he brings a passion for the game and a commitment to developing well-rounded athletes.

A fan of Chelsea, Errin names Oliver Kahn as his favorite player of all time. Outside of soccer, he enjoys playing golf, and a fun fact—he previously competed as a horse show rider.
