STAFF BIO:

Cris Lowe has been a dedicated member of the Richmond Strikers—now Richmond United—since 2014, bringing over 14 years of coaching experience and a strong background in education to the club. Throughout his time with the organization, Cris has played an important role in developing players and fostering a positive, growth-focused environment.

Prior to joining Richmond Strikers, Cris gained coaching experience at Darlington School in Georgia, Mount Paran School, and Lee-Davis High School in Virginia. His diverse coaching background at both the school and club levels has helped shape his approach to player development and mentorship.

Cris holds a USSF B License and is committed to continued growth within the game. He attended Randolph-Macon College, where he studied History and Education and competed as a goalkeeper. During his playing career, he ranked among the program’s top five in career saves.

In addition to his work in soccer, Cris spent seven years teaching social studies at Varina High School, where he was recognized as New Teacher of the Year in 2014. Originally from Rome, Georgia, he brings a passion for both education and athletics into his coaching.

Cris credits his love for the game to his father, a longtime high school soccer and football coach, and fondly remembers spending time on the field during his dad’s practices growing up. Outside of soccer, he enjoys reading and spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and their pets, Maple and Waffle.
